Almost done I think.  I modeled out a background for this character. Rendered with Mental Ray in Maya with the fast shader 2 which I really like.  Composite done in photoshop from a few different render layers.   Click the image for the full resolution render

I worked the textures and shaders of the character a bit more.

I’m still finding some time to work on this guy! It has been a slow process as I’m experimenting with new skin shaders and some new techniques for how I work.  I’ve done some texture work with this one and and plan on pushing it further.

i’ve been doing some look development with this character using the new mental ray fast shader 2 in maya.  there are very basic textures in place as I’m focusing on the lighting and shader work.
